Roadmap

We're building the best breathe-hold app possible and your support is critical.

These are the major things we're working on towards that vision.

If you have any thoughts on how we can improve then please let us know.

Depth below 20 feet (6 meters)

Apple has stringent conditions that must be met before providing any app with access to depth data below 20 feet. We respect this, as your safety is the priority.

One of those conditions is that Blue Infinity must be certified by an external company to a European standard - EN13319. We're currently pursuing companies to complete this testing for us.

We also have to work with Apple to prove that our design and development processes are sound and that we can detect and respond to any software issues promptly.

We understand that 20 feet is not much for Freedivers and that's why this is our number one priority.

Pool mode

Freedivers typically train in a pool more often than they do line dives.

We want to add a different mode in Blue Infinity to help monitor these pool-based dives and record them.

When in open water, Blue Infinity automatically triggers a dive when you go below 3 feet (1 meter) – in a pool that doesn't work.

In the pool, duration is the primary metric you care about. So, we're currently exploring ways in which you can do an overall session at the pool and track the individual dive times.

Map marking and wayfinding

This one is the most challenging, but we're up for it.

We've heard a lot (from spearos in particular) that they want to be able to mark spots while in the water and a way to navigate to those spots easily.

Given the very limited ways to interact with the Apple Watch when in water lock mode, this one is a challenge but we're going to explore option
